When we were approached to restore and rebuild this long-neglected pond in Canford Magna, Bournemouth, Dorset, it was clear the project would require a complete transformation. The pond had been left untouched for over 15 years and had fallen into severe disrepair. Leaks and collapsed shelves had compromised its structure, while years of sludge and decay had built up into a stagnant island at its centre. With no filtration system or electricity running to the pond or waterfall, the water had become thick, green, and foul-smelling, and the surrounding vegetation had become wildly overgrown. Our task was to breathe new life into this forgotten feature, turning it from a source of decay into a vibrant, healthy, and beautiful focal point once again, complimenting the beautiful garden surrounding it.
